Do it, but make sure you go to a reputable salon. The results are worth it.

Cassie can't breathe. Turn my insides out and smother me.

I always shave that…er, region. I just hate how fast I get stubble and razor burn is a bitch. I want to get a bikini wax. I have a pretty high tolerence for pain, so I’m not worried. If I like the results, I might just have to get it done on a regular basis!

    Bikini Wax 6 months ago

It’s so much cleaner than shaving. It hurts but not bad.

info to remember 8 months ago

after some research on the web, i’ve decided to try to do this on my own at home… far as i can tell, the wax i would like to use is called zipwax, its hard to find in canada, but i did find a bunch available on ebay… this zip wax stuff sounds really good, i might buy a bunch of them and see if i can save on shipping
I’m trying to find a wax warmer too.
Tips to make this go better:
    trim hair to 1/4 inch
    exfolliate
    spread area with talc
    pull skin taugt
    apply warm chamomile tea afterward
    use a hair growth retarder
    the next day start exfolliating
use chemical exfolliants w/ salicylic acid and glycolic acid

think i’ll do this soon. I’ll let you know how it goes.

    I'm addicted 8 months ago

Oh my gosh! This experience was amazing for me! I got a gift certificate for a massage for Christmas and so when I made the appointment for the massage I just dove right in and made an appointment for a bikini wax, conveniently scheduling the wax for the day before the massage in case I was tense from the nerves. Let me tell you, it was so easy! I got there and the woman politely greeted me and told me I had the choice of leaving on my own underwear or wearing disposable ones. I chose the disposable ones because I figured it would be easier for her and I wouldn’t have to worry about getting wax on my underwear. I undressed and climbed onto the bed under the sheets and when she returned she put a rolled heated towel under my neck to help me relax. She talked me through the whole process because she knew it was my first time and I was pretty nervous. She pulled back the covers from one leg and asked me to put the bottom of my foot onto the side of my knee, so she could get better access. I liked that she left the covers on everything that she wasn’t working on. It made me feel a lot more comfortable. There was music in the background and a candle burning. The wax was warm but not hot, and she had me take a deep breath and hold it before she pulled off the fabric. I’m telling you, it was nothing! Like a little slap that stings for a second and then goes away, except after this slap you magically have no more hair, haha! Oh, and they put baby powder on your skin before the wax to dry out the skin so that the strip only takes hair and not your skin. Start out small. I want to eventually get a Brazilian, but will be doing an extended bikini wax for a few months before I go all the way. You choose how far in you want her to go and how far down in the front with an extended bikini wax. If you keep up with this (about once a month) the hair will begin to grow in slower and much softer. I strongly recommend taking an aspirin and just doing it! Just do it. You won’t regret it and you might even find it slightly pleasurable from the adrenaline rush. Just remember to appropriately check out the person doing the wax before you go. There is a local spa here under litigation for giving a woman 2nd degree burns from a bikini wax, so just be careful. It is best to get personal references. I found my experience to be rather enjoyable and would send anyone and everyone to Prima Day Spa in Wilmington. Good luck! Feel free to send me a message to ask for more information.

not sure what to expect 9 months ago

I want to do this. I get my eyebrows waxed so how much different cout a bikini wax be? I guess I am just nervous because I dont want to feel stupid when I go in. It just seems like it would be ackward, “HI, nice to meet you, here is my who-ha” ; )

    Pain? 12 months ago

okay, so i finally went and got a professional waxing done, and well, it was so easy, the pain was not half as bad, it only took 15-20 min and now i am all smooth!! will definitely be going again and again!

my first bikini wax 1 year ago

I had to go get my eyebrows waxed and tinted, so I decided to throw in a bikini wax into the mix too.

Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. The sides were fine, it was a little tougher when she did the top – more hair =more ouch! Aside from that, the more painful aspect of the job was the hot wax.
