Done! It took me all of two days to get my office looking meat and tidy. And most importantly, organized! If I get the chance, I’ll upload a picture or two.

How to declutter my office
It made me

How I did it: I always had a problem with clutter and things that are not organized. Many (some are doctors) even told me I was obsessive compulsive. I had a very clean, neat and organized office when a major government project came up, which required me to stack loads and loads of product boxes all over my office floor, cabinets and even on my table top. The paperwork was overwhelming and I was not in my office very often to clean up. For almost a year I would come in for a few minutes to grab some product boxes and work in a different room where I could give frequent status updates to the management. I recently "shifted" back into my office and I couldn't bear the idea of working in it. I immediately set out to clean out my office and return all the boxes to the product owner. I started with emptying out all the cabinets and drawers onto the floor. I noted all the serial numbers and stacked them in a corner. It was an eyesore! I tackled the paperwork next, shredded what I didn't need anymore and filed what was important. I also scanned many spporting documents and stored them online. The next day I gathered all the boxes and with the help of a few colleagues carried them all far, far away from my office. Now I'm back to having a nice, clean office. Resources: Irritation, determination and a couple of colleagues to carry the heavier things out. |

Cleaned out all my drawers today. Threw most of the stuff, and gave away some. Table-top is nice and neat. Now I need to get rid of all the product boxes stacked up on the floor.

plus the things on top of my desk. I can hardly wait to be done with this project. I need to come up with something fun and creating to do to reward myself for finishing this.

Yesterday I felt as if I could never get through these boxes, so today I made a deal with myself to work on it for JUST 15 mins. 40 minutes later I had finished another box! I Can Do This!
