Just in retrospect the name of the goal was a bit off, as its not maintained by eating less sugary food but by eating more fruits, vegetables and other whole foods to make sure you are too full to go after the sugary junk food.
People doing this are also doing these things:

In a way I feel that I can mark this goal off as done from the good progress that I’ve made which is lasting. Still I’m going to keep it up as a remainder during the upcoming holiday seasons with all the extra sugar laying around.

Actually the gola is so vague, I can not tell if I am doing it or not.Sooo. I have decided to give it up and go back to trying to eat no sweets for a month goal. This one is always tough for me. Last year in November, I almost made it and ended up having to have aother go at it in December…
I think I might have made much better progress than I thought. Today I had a Twix candy bar after not having candy for a few weeks and I was surprised by how off guard the sugar hit me and my stomach. I find it hard to believe that eating less sugar for a while could cause something that small was able to set me off like it did.
I just realized that my increased consumption of fruit is not in line with this goal in the sense that fruit contains sugar. So for the purposes of this goal I’m only considering the sugar in junk foods and especially processed junk foods as the type of sugar that I want to decrease. If doing this means eating more fruits and vegetables to fill the void in increasing my overall sugar consumption though the natural sugars found in plants then so be it – its still a victory won as far as I’m concerned even though I highly doubt it will happen that way.

even though it is an ongoing thing. I know it’s poison for me, and have made the appropriate changes. It’s just a matter of keeping on keeping on.

in this dept, ever since the Sprint began. Tonight I passed up a “taste” of tiramasu. I knew where one taste would lead me.
I’ve left it alone long enough that the serious cravings are gone. My deal with myself is that I can have something small on Shabbat every week but that it has to be Shabbat and it has to be moderate. We’ll see how that goes. But at any rate, things are going much, much better of late.

are improving, which is one way to cut down the sugar.
Breakfast is an English muffin with an egg, and a cup of coffee. Then until lunch time, no matter what sugar-laden food happens to be near me, I can remind myself that I had a perfectly good breakfast!

in “about 22 hours” I’ll be taking my coffee sans sugar for 7 days….that should cut it for a while….
Oh the horror and sadness of it all!!!!
