I’ve bought new and I’ve bought used and I’ve bought certified used. My Dad ALWAYS had to have a new car every couple years, so I grew up accustomed to that. But I like buying used a lot! I get the best of the car and let someone ELSE pay for the “new” smell and the mega-depreciation in the first few years. It’s worth it to buy new, brand new, once, I guess—there is a little thrill in being the very first driver of a car, and you get to be particular about what options you choose. So do it for the experience, once, but then go ahead and try used!
