How to go cliff diving

"I didn't even planning getting this done- I was on this amazing vacation to Cancun and it popped up unexpectedly- seized the moment."
How I did it: I took a chance to go out to Chichen Itza where the tour stopped at a cenote, one of the most beautiful places I've even been in my life. There was a diving platform/cliff carved into the side of the limestone (it was an ancient Mayan ritual place where royals bathed) and looked as high up as it was! It was a little intimidating doing it alone (I was by myself) but absolutely exhilarating.
Lessons & tips: Don't forget you need to come up from the water- be prepared to swim. Sounds silly- but easy to forget when you're hearts pumping so quickly after you jump.
