learn finnish

Ever since my mom traveled to Finland to go to the Nokia HQ, I fell in love with the country and everything related to it. I’ve been trying to find a place with others interested in the beautiful topic that is Finland…

Today I downloaded Byki 4 Express to help with some Finnish vocabulary. Its great, I’ve learned all the colors in Finnish already!! Good luck guys!

hey, I’m 16… I love Finland and all things Finnish, so I need to learn this beautiful language. :) (i’ve been listening to radio Suomi, too Kyla.. haha :D) I will keep this updated as well. :P

i found some free finnish phrases on the internet, and so far i’ve learnt some animal names and colours in finnish :)
Im on a role! hehe, i’ve worked on the pronunciations and spellings and stuff, i have radio suomi on now too hehe.

is the most beautiful of all languages.
if i get into sunderland university, i have the opportunity to study in finland for a year, which i’d definitely take up.
people have suggested listening to finnish radio stations may help, so i’m listening to radio suomi atm, hopefully i’ll start to pick it up!!
my goal is to listen to at least one hour a day to for a year and see if i understand it much more, i’ll keep up to date on how i’m doing!

I want to learn Finnish for a few reasons. So how do I do this?

I have wanted to learn to speak Finnish ever since my family from Finland came to visit. Their language sounded so amazing that I just had to take a crack at it.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY NEEEEEEEEED to learn Finnish!!
I have a friend who lives in Finland and I’d love to be able to talk to him in Finnish. He has taught me some, but he’s been busy lately. =(

well my family moved from finland when i was young and i know three paragraphs in suomalainen and yeah that isnt very much but i know alot of other languages like german, french, two types of english, and american sign language
