in another language 5 months ago

When I get upset, I sometimes use another language which make me once take a breath. I usually speak the very easy words like, “oh,my…”, “that’s it?”, “finish **?”, etc.
I know to use our mother language properly but it’s good for peace of mother and low-teen boys.

New school year start 6 months ago

My older one graduated elementary and entered junior high. Things are quite different and we both have to get used to the new daily routine. Fortunately, I’m happy that my boy is enjoying his new school life.

balance... 23 months ago

finding the right balance is the key for me. Knowing when to be the mommy who’s fun & sings & dances with the kids and the mommy who says its time to turn off the TV and put on your jammies…without making them say “I want the other mommy back” making “deals” with them. Giving them the option to pick…”do you want the RED jammies or the PINK ones you can pick if you turn the tv off in 2 seconds” its amazing how well this kind of stuff can work. “Would you like to pick up the toys and pick out a book to read with me? OR pick up the toys and get an IOU ticket for later use?” I’ve found ways to word things with them that makes it fun & not work or chores. They are so much more willing to do their part which means a lot less stress I love it! It makes for a happy family!!

my daughter 2 years ago

OH my…she’s only 2 years old but she has the attitude of a 12 year old. She’s testing my patience every day…she’s a teenager already haha she also thinks daddy is her “honey” and fights me often for him. I never thought I’d have to sneak a hug & kiss from daddy JUST so she doesn’t see…lol my own competition is my daughter! scary. Daddy thinks it’s funny that she’s quick to argue with me. With him she’s an angel. Just wait he tells me…”Im going to have to separate you guys when shes older…keep you from killing each other” if the way she is now is just a preview of how she is going to be I am in trouble.

part of having the patience to deal with your kids is remembering what it was like at their age. Remembering what it’s like to get down & dirty, have fun, yell, dance, run around like a lil chicken with your heads cut off :]

we did that tonight. High School Musical was on Disney channel tonight. My kids and I sang all the songs dancing around the living room floor like we were on Soul train haha it was fun. The kids had a blast & honestly I did too!

That lil Zack Efron is one cute lil thing too…yikes!! hehe

Now I just have to get my 2 year old to stop stripping off her clothes and dancing like the chicks in the “pour some sugar on me” video daddy watches on youtube & Ill be ok :]
