soul of hope is packing

above and beyond 5 months ago

I’ve been doing really well this summer. So far I’ve read Candide, Harry Potter 5, 6, and 7, The Pearl, and several self-help books. I just need to read my book for school!

soul of hope is packing

doing good 12 months ago

I’ve been on a reading rampage for the last two days. I’m done with my other two books and I started and finished “A Separate Peace.” I am now almost finished with “Sugar Busters”, “A Piece of MY Heart”, and “Possible Side Effects.” So many books and so little time!

Already read a lot - want to add some more 16 months ago

I regularly read 2-3 newspapers per day and 8-10 magazines per month (well, reading what I want in them anyway…;-)) I’d like to add more books to that list.

this bookworm needs a big fat juicy book 2 years ago

I used to be an avid reader, but as time has pressed on I have gotten away from it. I love to read and I always have at least 10 books that I want to read, but I simply don’t make the time. I need to make the time and so for now my goal is to read at least 2 books a month.

yeah, being literate 3 years ago

I’m actually doing pretty well with my reading. I cheated a little last month – I counted a novel that was assigned in school as my book count. However, it was the very first book I’ve ever had assigned that I actually enjoyed reading. So I didn’t think it would hurt to count it.

I finished “Push” by Sapphire yesterday, which was amazing. It’s really short, but I couldn’t put it down and it only took me a day to read. I took it back today and checked out “The Color Purple”. I’ve tried to read it before, but I think I was a bit young to appreciate it (I was a sophomore in high school.) I feel so much better already about reading more – I feel more cultured, as cheesy as it sounds.
