Become closer to my sisters

It’s been a busy summer, but I have made more of an effort to get to know my sisters and spend some time with them. Given they are 18 & 14 now, and I’m a working 30 year old single woman, it leaves little time, but we keep in touch more now, and see each other when we can. I attended both my 14 year olds graduation from the 8th grade catholic school that she attended, and then my 18 year olds graduation from high school. I also catered and attended my 18 year olds grad party. So this is a good start. We text and email from time to time now, which is way more than I can say that we did last year. So with baby steps we are on our way. Still working at it, even though it’s a two way street.

I’m still working on this. Trying to be involved in their lives, more phone calls, talking to them on myspace, trying to hook up and do things, but boy are teenagers busy little people. It’s a work in progress.

This will be a lot of work. They are so much younger than me, it leaves a gap for not being hip with the times, and all sorts of other things. So pizza and movies is about as far as I can think. I’m 29, they are 18 & 14. So ideas are helpful.
