..but I don’t have anyone to go with me..(too bad!hehe)
I don’t know when I’ll be able to pull this off..maybe a year or two from now, hopefully..hehe
If anyone has facts/travel info, please let me know..thnx
I’ve done this. Well worth it if you happen to be in the area on holiday anyway. Not worth a 10 hour flight in hurricane season
Awesome, awesome, mind-boggling, jaw-dropping amazing:
Palenque… if you can see only one, this is the one to see)
Chichen Itza
Chinkultik
Coba
Tikal
Uxmal
Bonampak
Tulum
I have been to Mayan ruins Tollum twice and to a few of the other sites a few times. You can stand in many places like in the ball court at Chichén Itzá and you can hear a pin drop on the other side. many meters away. On my dive trips to Mexico I always like to take a day away from the boats and take a tour of ruins. In many places you can find temples and complexes that are still covered with jungle. One of the interesting things about the ruins is that every time I go the guides have a different story or explaination about what went on at the sites. They understand more and more about the purpose of the sites as time goes on. http://www.differentworld.com/mexico/places/chichen_itza/chichen_itza.htm
