heels lengthen your legs but shorten your life. That’s what a yoga instructor told me. Something about the length of your calf muscles realtive to the rest of your body affects how long you will live. Wearing heels shortens the muscles. I think its a load of poppycock, but I still think its healtier to wear a good pair sneakers. If only becasue I walk faster in comfy shoes, which gets my heart rate up.
