How to record a song
How I did it: I played Roll On by Josh Ritter. I had a recording program on my laptop and I connected up some mics on myself and the guitar and just belted one out. As you can tell it was vey high tech... I recorded it in my sitting room on a very uncomfortable chair.

I want to write lyrics and put (original) music to them. Nothing too fancy, but something I could share with friends/family.

I got my 1/8 inch computer cable to hook my handydandy tape recorder up to my computer and downloaded audacity (simple multitrack editor) and presto! I’ve recorded a song and it is an mp3!
busy4thyr did 21/43 of his summer goals
My mic’s seem all funny :( lately when I go to record they’re picking up very wierd sounds… so all my songs sound metallic and synthetic!! not the sound I’m going for really… Gotta try fix that!
Gearóid has 24 of his summer things done!
I’m thinking of doing a cover of Easy Lover, with pseudo instruments, like using a desk for the percussion. It could work out!
WalshFerdinand is going to exercise and finish her painting.
I really wanted to record a song to hear myself. For graduation, I recieved this Phillips music player which also records, so I just put it on and sang some of my original songs, did some covers from the White Stripes and Bob Dylan.
It’s neat saying, “Yeah, I did that.”
