if it is possible please help me to record some hindi film songs by providing recording softwares and guidelines to record a song.

How I did it: I downloaded Audacity, and found instrumental versions of songs i wanted to record, and recorded them :) I had a USB microphone and plugged it in. You can find tutorials on how to erase the audio from songs you want to record on Youtube, so that's how you get instrumentals if you don't want to buy them or they aren't available. I’ve never done anything close to this. I can read music and tabs, but I can only mildly play guitar, sax and piano. I’m not even sure I can sing, but I’d like to get good enough to record something, even if it’s a cover.
