I can remember my 4th grade teacher telling me that if I don’t sit up straight I’ll end up looking like a question mark. My back hunched over and struggling to hold my body up straight.

How I did it: I think I began slouching because of insecurities. I stopped walking tall because I had lost confidence in myself. I now walk with my head held high and carry myself a lot better. It's amazing how faking confidence can eventually lead to the real thing! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Simply focus on walking everywhere with a straight back and shoulders pulled back. Eventually your body will take the hint and you wont need to focus on it - you'll do it automatically. It also works wonders on your abs, given me more definition Read how I did it…

I must must must find a way to do this somehow! I’ve really started to get frustrated with the way I slouch everytime I’m sitting, it’s so unattractive. (Especially since my stomach isn’t quite flat at the moment, it makes me look even more round when I’m sitting like that.) I have to start sitting up straight, even if it hurts a lot at first. :x I do not want to look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame when I’m older.
I should also start pulling my shoulders back a little more, I think.

I’ve noticed that sitting in an office chair all day is an ideal way to sit up straight. I also remind myself to stand up straight it feels better and makes me more open to people than if I am hunched over or slouching. I always feel taller when I stand up straight.

I keep correcting myself but it seems like after 5 minutes or so I go right back into a slump. I have found that if I sit on a chair with a back on it that can help and also when I walk sometimes I pretend I have a string attached to my head pulling me up. But I’m still trying

I’ve been walking on pretty much a daily basis for 30 – 40 minutes and I think that my posture is much improved, although I still have some pain in my back, it is lessening as the muscles I’ve never used properly are starting to do their job =P

Well I already have fairly good posture, but I’m sure it could get better. I still catch myself hunched over sometimes, particularly when I’m alone. I do very well standing/walking but sitting is not natural yet. Sitting up straight makes a personal just look a lot better/confident and actually skinnier. I’ll be finished with good posture once I’m doing it 24/7
I am so bad about this. It is much easier to slouch. I sometimes sit up straight and roll my shoulders back. I apparently have a problem with my shoulders falling forward because my yoga instructor is always correcting me on that. I get tired when I sit up straight for long periods of time though. It takes more effort.
