I have done spinning classes before – hard work, but you do feel like you get a good work out. I’ve got a couple of weddings, a holiday, and a half marathon coming up over the next couple of months, so I was to be trim and in tip-top shape.
As it’s the school holidays now, and the roads are quieter on the way to work, I am going to do the early Monday morning class at my gym for the next few weeks – deal!

I have done this, but everyone told me that it was fun! Ahaha! Okay, so its not “not fun”, but its bloody hard work!! Wow! I am a few kilos overweight.. I should lose about 5kg, and I didn´t think things were that dire, but when I left, I felt like a fat greasy pig! It was really hard! Ahahah!
But seriously, the instructor was really good-he was screaming at us the whole time, singing along to the music…
Hope it works like people say it does!!!!

so I did my first spinning class today. I did it about an hour and a half after playing hockey. The class didn’t seem as bad as I thought it would be. Either I’m in better than average shape from all the hockey and gym time (I do 20 mins on a exercise bike every time I’m in the gym). Or the class wasn’t just as hard (up tempo, or extreme) as some of the other classes. I’m going to try and take more classes at different times with different instructors. So I guess I’ll find out if there are harder classes. By the way, all this “not as hard as I thought” talk, does NOT mean it was easy. I just was expecting to walk out of the class, maybe limp out lol, go home and not want to move. But there’s always the chance I could wake up tomorrow and be sore as all hell! I’ll try and keep this up to date with some more entries.

What’s come over me??? 2 classes in less than a week?
This class was so much harder than the 1 I took in Asheville. The teacher (leader?) had us standing for probably 45 minutes of the class (I did have to sit a few times). These people are crazy! I must be too because I absolutely love it! Whew. I feel like jello now. And tomorrow I won’t be able to walk. But God is it worth it! I feel like I’m HIGH as a KITE right now!!!!
And my dad’s bringing me back Thai food so I’ll even wrap the evening up with a healthy meal!
But let’s not go TOO overboard. The smoking is still an issue. I had a cigarette right before going into the class and directly after the class. Which obviously makes it 100x harder for me. I feel like I’m a criminal- I have to sneak around the back of the gym because I don’t want people to see me puffing away right after I’ve worked out!

I took my 1st spinning class this past week in Ashville and MAN was it HARD. I loved it though!!!!! That’s the most aerobic excercise I’ve gotten in years! I used to cycle a lot when I was younger but I have gotten so out of shape.
It’s really great that it’s with a group of people; I’m very competitive so I forced myself to keep up with everyone (even though I seriously thought I was going to fall off the bike and die). Our instructor had excellent music too which also makes a huge difference. Pump it up!
WARNING-——WEAR BICYCLE SHORTS. 2 pairs if you’re not used to riding. I had 1 pair on and I would’ve done anything for a second pair. I am STILL sore down there. And also have a towel handy because you drip buckets of sweat.
But, other than that enjoy! Lol!
I’m definitely going to start taking more classes.
