Install Linux on laptop

i did this with ubuntu 7.10 and it was terrible. i hate linux-reinstalled xp within 2 days use

Windows removed. Puppylinux installed.

Puppy Linux will soon be installed on my boyfriend’s laptop, he just needs to clean out all the “important” documents first ;P

it was only ever really an intellectual exercise, and I feel that the moment has passed

while not all hardware work especially modem, and need some install the firmware and driver for the wireless card other wise work like charm

I’ve installed debian on multiple laptops.

had to jump through some hoops to get two partitions in which to install each OS, but once that was done … fairly painless. I now have a laptop with dual-boot Windows XP and Suse Linux 9.3

I need to retain Windoze for mapping/GPS stuff so I’d like to resize the XP partition and get Suse 9.3 on the other half. Got the tools to do it … just need the time and guts to do it :)
