I avoided all kinds of red meat and replaced it with fish and white meat such as chicken breast. and i avoid fatty foods such as fried. i still eat shrimps once in a while. i do this mostly for my health because ive such borderline cholesterol and high trigylcerides. been doing this for a month now. and so far i am enjoying the benefits of avoiding red meat.

mia76 is mentally migrating out of Indonesia already...
To me, it means I still eat animals under extreme conditions (if I have no other choice—sometimes Mollusc/Pisces) and/or certain circumstances (incl. the presence of sushi). I still eat jellyfish, for instance.
But I avoid eating Mammals and Aves (poultry), esp. the more intelligent animals who feel/understand when they’re being hurt. I get my proteins from tofu/tempeh.
It’s still uncommon for restaurants here to have vegetarian sections in their menus. I did a wonderful job being 100% vegetarian while in Europe, though.
