No sooner had I marked this as done than I had an error page!

It happened this morning when I wanted to read what the people I subscribe to on 43t are up to.

I’m going to keep this here because my previously haphazard cheer situtation seems to have been resolved 6 years ago

Received a message from Josh asking if I still get application errors. I haven’t experienced any in the last two weeks or so. Hopefully everything has been fixed now so I’m marking this as done. 6 years ago

Well, my primary E mail I use for notification of comments is down right now…the IMAP server is not feeling well…

So I go to my edit my account page and I’ll just change my Email address I use for notification..easy right?...

No, it isn’t…because it gives me an error page when I try to confirm…In internet terms…I am now blind…

Maybe the Maytag repairman could help you guys out…rumor has it he is never out on a call…

the problems got fixed while I was on vacation last week- I’ve had no trouble with the site last night or this morning, so I’m marking this goal as completed.

..43T has been pretty stable for me lately. Really happy about that. Although I’ve used it a little less recently – but I don’t think that is down to the unavailability… (might be a small factor though) 6 years ago

I’ve been biting my tongue, but I feel I have to say something. Most people are being supportive and patient of the Robots’ attempts to get this sorted. But I’ve seen one too many pissed off, ungrateful and whiney entries on this goal now, and it’s starting to get on my tits.

Look. The Robots want to fix the site. They really do. It’s in their interests to have the whole of 43 – a fantastic site provided to you at no cost – working as smoothly as possible – it’s their job, it pays their bills. I know it’s frustrating for you when your fave place on the net isn’t working as well as it could, but how do you think it feels for them?

Please. The Robots are real people. Bitching and moaning about the site’s problems is just gonna stress them out, just like it does when your boss has a go at you. And filling the site up with angry entries about the glitches is a little bit like sitting in your car in a traffic jam whining on the phone to your friend, who’s in his car in another bit of the traffic jam, about how bad the traffic is.

So by all means let them know when a new problem crops up, but please have a heart and be nice to them. They do a lot of good work for us all and it’s not nice to bite the hand that feeds.

Seems like it is working better. I’m not sure if the e-mail notification is fixed or not… it will be perfect again when that starts up!

I’ve been taking a sort of unintentional break from the site, so it’s NOT me! :)

Actually, the problems are really helping to keep me off the site for a little while. Especially since I need to focus on this for a few days.

I am in Charleston, W.V.(1) and wanted to check off some places as visited, but I can’t access the 43Places site. Side effect of the problems here?

I have had few error pages the last few days. I am actually getting to post my cheers – but the number of cheers sure has been low! Although I just had ten! I hope this continues to improve! I think it is such a great motivator, so I hate to see it become a frustrator! 6 years ago

I am no longer receiving email notification when another user replies to one of my entries. I checked my account to see if that had been reset during my break, and it hadn’t been.

[edit] Never mind, they’re here now, maybe they were stuck in a queue like cheers sometimes get stuck! 6 years ago

I’ve only gotten one application error since I have been back on the site (yesterday), but it runs so painfully slow most of the time, I am not sure that is an improvement.

Still holding out hope that the Robots will fix what is ailin’ the site! I have faith! 6 years ago

It’s very, very slow for navigating as I try to cheer people. And some images have disappeared. So we’re not out of the woods yet! 6 years ago
