One time, I went to the San Francisco Exploratorium on a day when they were providing FREE admission. (I went with some friends just for fun.) ..They were having an edible insect day.. they had chocolate covered ants, toasted scorpions, crickets, meal worms, earth worms and some other insects that kids, their parents, or anyone else could actually try eating. We missed that exhibit. I would have tried it, just to try it. I found some edible bugs on eBay. To my surprise even edible butterflies and edible larvae. I think I’d be willing to try the edible giant ants and the scorpions, but I’d have to draw the line when it comes to crickets , butterflys and larvae. Too squishy for me. And definitely no madagascar roaches living or deceased. Living = they would cut up my mouth. Deceased = I would imagine that they would be too crunchy.. like eating a pine cone – not that I’ve done that. lol.
