when i was in the boy scouts i missed an opportunity to go backpacking on a 50 mile hike lugging all the equipment you need to do the weekend hike. i’ve regretted not going ever since. so, i wouldn’t mind doing this someday. some of my friends are former boy scouts, so maybe i’ll go with them.. but i’d like to do this in a foreign country or in hawaii with a tour guide. that would be much more scenic and exciting doing the whole camping/hiking thing.
