It’s been a while now that I read it more often. I read it out loud to my husband and kids in the car when we travel. We discuss what we read mainly morning weekends in our muskoka chairs with a coffee. Quite inspiring.

I used to be just like Aussiebassplayer until I got sick and tired of trying to find a “solution” to “not being able to read”. First you have to convince yourself that can do it, and pray about it. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Also, in John 14:14, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” I believe that this is saying that if our prayers are in sync with what God’s will is, He will do it but you have to put your effort into it as well. Pray about it a lot and practice it a lot and it will come. Don’t get discouraged, in the end, it’s all worth it!

reading the bible has been my form of meditation at the end of each day… my “bible moments” give me time to reflect on the things that i’ve done, what i’m doing and what i want to do in my life.
my friend kate even introduced me to using a highlighter while reading the bible. whenever i chance upon a really nice verse in the bible, i make it a point to highlight it so that i can go back to it at another time…
go ahead and try it! it’s definitely worth doing! =)

I relly enjoy studying the Bible with friends (which I do often) but really struggle to read it myself regularly. Somehow it requires more effort and I am basically lazy and not the kind of guy who reads the manual first. I need to get a grip really.
