because i didn’t manage to do it in the winter (sometimes i didn’t even leave the house for days), and now the days are longer and i’m cycling again, it will happen automatically. at least this winter was a mild one, and i certainly didn’t end up as down as i was this time last year (though rather more podgy). will try again next year.

and then i drank a bottle of beer on the way home from the supermarket. it was called “Bit(burger) Sun” so i thought it might have a positive effect.
oh dear.

i haven’t actually been outside today and it’s getting dark already BUT took the bull by the horns this morning (after yesterday being such a load of unmitigated crap) and booked a cheapo easyjet flight to rome in mid-february. ha! roma! bloody excellent. now there’s something to look forward to. :-)

with alzheimer’s, parkinson’s, add, carpal tunnel syndrome, rsi, and i don’t know what else in the last couple of weeks, so i probably don’t have SAD either, and am just a complete hypochondriac. either way, i’ve always hated january and february, and i think it’s getting worse. last winter was a nasty one in many respects, and it’s not surprising that i was in weepy hiding-under-desk mode by february. but i don’t want that to happen again if i can help it. and getting out for a bit of light (sun?) and exercise every day can’t be a bad thing. have set a 15 minute minimum so that i really have no excuses. ha.
