My cat chewed the cord on the nice headphones my boyfriend just bought, so we had to buy new ones a week or two later. Needless to say, my boyfriend is pretty pissed about it and he doesn’t let my cat into our bedroom anymore.
Today I put the headphones on my belly for an hour and let Leo listen to Mozart. He is beginning to respond to sound by kicking near the source.
I have been hit and miss with this goal. I would like to improve my consistency.
Yesterday we bought a Mozart CD and a pair of headphones big enough to stretch over my belly.
My boyfriend is very musically inclined and he wants our baby to have an ear for music.
No one knows for sure if this method really works, but it can’t hurt. At the very least maybe after birth he will recognize and be soothed by songs we played to him repeatedly.
