I got a back injury from something else, not deadlifting, but before I was injured I was able to deadlift 235. I weigh 146 pounds now, so I’ve gained a lot of weight from packing on mass and probably just growing (I’m 15). After my back heals, I am going to resume deadlifting, but until then I’m going to do stuff like pull ups, pull downs and lower-back resistance exercises.

Mine is so bad. I can only deadlift 220 lbs at a 140 lb bodyweight when I can do more pull ups than your average guy! (Embarassing I know). My deadlift is horrible, especially compared to my bench and squat, which are ehh (185 lb bench, 325 lb squat). I KNOW I can do it 12 weeks or less! Just for the record, I am 15 years old and have not been working out for very long.
Haven’t deadlifted in months.
I think my last load was about 115 lbs?
Fuck, I need to work on that shit.
Managed to pull 140kgs with wrist straps for 2 sets of 3. God damn it was tough. Dropping the weight back to 130kgs next time and going for more reps with tighter form.
Deadlift is only once every two weeks.
On Monday I was able to pull 140kgs for 2 reps using wrist straps. Probably could have gotten a third rep.
Have one week off and then try 150kgs on the 12th.
Got some new lifting straps to help out with this goal. Was away for a week, fill-in gym had no deadlift matt and I couldn’t risk dropping the weight through their floorboards. Had to take it easy with 120kg max lifts.
Failed twice and then managed a lift with 140kgs. Bad form and couldn’t completely straighen up. Lifted 130kgs without trouble.
Need wrist straps
My goal is to deadlift 150kgs – apparently “Dean Bellantoni” is the world record holder in my age class (30-34) and weight class (181lbs) for raw deadlift (no suit) in a powerlifting competition and he can pull 640 lbs. I figure I should be able to manage half of that. I don’t know how tall he is but I am 188cms.
His bench was 360lbs and squat 510lbs.
Currently my max deadlift is 115kgs for 4 reps.
