Seven weeks in Iceland!!!

I just got laid off, and with my two months severance package, I’m going to Iceland!!!

Not that I’ll be traveling here anytime soon, but here is the Iceland Tour Board, with all kinds of news and touristy things to do:

Always wanted to visit Iceland.

I’m saving up now for a trip to Iceland with my grandparents. They’ve never been outside of the country (Canada), and, being rather poor, my grandma has resigned herself to not being able to see new places in her lifetime. (She watches documentaries and such shows with beautiful foreign scenery.. and imagines she is there). My thoughts on this is “how dreary!” So, I’ve decided to save up money and hopefully be able to bring them this very year.

She doesn’t know much about Iceland, but my grandfather does. I haven’t told them yet what I’m planning to do, but I’m sure they’ll be surprised! :)

I’ve seen so many documentaries on TV, and read in so many different places that the wonderful citizens of Iceland are the happiest around. I would love to experience this myself as I strive to surround myself with positive happy people. Negative or mean people just bring my mood down, I like the energy boost from being surrounded by the positive.

This goal will be on my list for a long time since I don’t foresee myself getting to travel anytime soon. But it is on my goals of places to visit during my lifetime…and I will succeed!!
