How I did it: Started by using computer programs like the ultra cheap Making Waves, a great beginner program, works for samples as well as note programming, arranging and sequencing. Then I move on to Propellerhead's Reason. Now that's the shit! Lessons & tips: Just practice, and DON'T BE TOO CRITICAL OF YOURSELF!!!!! You are you're biggest critic, so just make your beats, then when you think your done, walk away for a half hour or so, then listen to it. It'll sound better than it did. But if you think it doesn't, put it away for a couple days or weeks and do some more. then always go back to see where you have been, and take from it what you can, to improve yourself! Resources: Forums, other musicians, oh, a four track recorder, or any form of recorder will be a big help! because we're all creative, all the time, we just cant be in our studio, all the time, and you need to capture the beat in ur head, when it needs to come out.

I just wanna make this as simple as it can be…..I just wanna learn how to make beats!!. I mean I play the keyboard and I come up with alot of differnt beats and sounds in my head, and I would really love to transfer them to a cd….etc….I also rap, and instead of me having to go buy other peoples beats, I wether make my own ya dig….and sell them. Alot of people doubt me, but I only know what I am capable of, and I know that I can do it…And ill get better with time…...I just need somewhere to start!! thats it
