make wind chimes

i have some shells and some plastic resin mix. i think i want to make a mold of the shells and then cast a bunch of plastic resin shell shapes, and string them up. they won’t make a good sound though.

I carved these faces out of clay last month and I want to string them together and add somebeads to make wind chimes… hopefully by the end of summer.

Just the other day… I had a bracelet that fell apart, but the beads were long wooden beads, and they made a pretty sound when they banged against eachother, so I made them into a wind chime.

I like what I made – I’d like to make a sturdier version of the same thing.

This really has to wait until I’m living in a house, rather than a flat.

Got this idea from a friend who has wind chimes in the garden. I want to make some for the front door. Perhaps for the garden as well. The process will be fun, and I do love the clingy sound when the wind plays the chimes.
