learn how to play drums

I live, breathe and survive on music. It has given me strength, peace and inspiration during most dire times and still does! I always wanted to learn an instrument since I don’t have the voice to sing. In college I got fascinated with guitar and tried my hand at it, somehow never pursued it to finish. But an instrument that use to fill me with energy each time I heard it was drums and I’v been thinking of joinin classes for the same from the longest time…
I think its high time I let go of all inhibitions and make it work… Wish me luck… :)

we’re original, huh?

i chose a guitar over drums but i am regretting it now. i like guitar but i think drums is what i want to do more.

I’ve stopped practise. I couldn’t get myself to go back to practise after that cold. Anyways, I lost the joy that I had from practising. It’s nice that I’ve tried it though. Always wondered what it would be like, and now I know.

The thing is, the time spent on practising drums, I’d much rather spend on writing. And training. And reading Bible. And supporting my friend. I don’t want a schedule that is so full of stuff that I lose myself again. I’d much rather keep it simple.

I’ve always started things and stopped them. Drums are just another one of them. Maybe in the future I’ll take it up again. I did enjoy it while I was doing it. But for now, I have other priorities.

It was so irritating at first but then I got the hang of it and went w/ it.

Well, I didn’t go to practice this week, again. My 4 weeks cold is really wearing me down.

Plus, I seem to have this inertia when I’m at home. Can’t seem to get my butt out of the apartment.

Does it have anything to do with the 5 degree temp. outside? This girl from Africa feels a bit intimidated.

Ever since I’ve gotten into rock music, I’ve been focused on nothing more than learning the guitar, piano, and drums. Drums are probably the most important instruments in a band because they keep the beat for every other instrument to follow. Learning the drums would just be amazing and I can’t wait to actually get my hands on a pair of drum sticks. Oh, and the bonus to playing drums is, you don’t need sheet music!

I’ve been wanting to learn for the longest time. The problem is, I don’t exactly stick to it, and I eventually quit after a while (which is what happened with paino, flute, and violin). But man, I’d love to play drums! Hopefully, if I do learn, I’ll stick to it…maybe play in a band or something…that would be really cool.

I’ve always been fascinated with drummers…I think they’re so talented, especially the old jazz drummers.
I’d really love to be one – for my own pleasure only. I don’t wanna be famous or anything.
