today i am thankful for where i live. as a kid i’ve always wanted to live in a big city because it was boring here (town population 500). but now i realize i love how my life is because i am a country girl and i can just imagine how different everything would be if i was raised in the city.
i get to go to school wearing sweats and no makeup every day without being judged.
i may have less friends than city girls, but they are the best friends i could ask for. and i’d rather have my best friends than a million stranger friends.
one of my favorite things is when someone from the city asks if we ride horses to school or if we know what lululemon or abercrombie is. hahahaha, i’m not oblivious just cause i live outside the big city. 5 months ago

i have SO many people to thank for where i am in my sport.
first of all my parents for paying and driving and encouraging me to play.
a special thanks to my dad for letting me play ringette instead of hockey even though i know sometimes he wishes i’d get a scholarship to play hockey somewhere.
and to my mom for being the manager of most of my teams. and her persusasiveness to get whatever we want! she truly is the best manager.
thanks to all my coaches mike and barry who have been my AA coaches for ever! they have taught me so much about ringette physically and mentally. and they have made me a better person and team captain. they pushed me and believed in me to make team manitoba and go to canada winter games in halifax. and they helped make my dream come true.
thanks to the BEST teammates i could ask for. Every team ive played for has felt like a little family. And I love every single one of them! 5 months ago

How I did it: I stopped asking for things and wishing things were different. While I still have hopes and dreams, I stopped living in the future and try to focus on the present. By just being happy with what I have and reminding myself daily of the wonderful aspects of my life, I've become happier and I actually have less anxiety. Its hard to put a time frame on this because I forced myself to thank God (or whoever you believe in) every night for the things I have, rather than ask for the things I don't. After a while it just became a habit. Read how I did it… 6 months ago
