i wore a skirt, despite the snow and the cold. You know, with the proper “equipment” (boots, coat, hat, gloves), the cold-weather skirt thing is really quite do-able. And i felt so feminine-sexy (even though it isn’t a sexy skirt at all!).
Thanks, JP! Couldn’t’ve done it without your advice & encouragement :-)
I need an outfit fot the 24th Dec. All I can find is a red tunic with white trimmings, and a nice pointy hat. Oh and on my feet I got some black welly boots. Can you help ?
Not one, but two pairs are on their way.
The first pair, i just really liked:
Although they were in the “Winter/Snow Boots” category, i wasn’t sure how practical the 2-inch heel would be on really horrible days.
Therefore, i also ordered what i believe to be a more practical pair:
Maybe i’ll survive the winter—in spite of myself!
Mrs. Luckyjim has queued me in on what she’s going to wear for our formal Christmas Dinner. My hopes are to look as dashing and debonair as she will look beautiful. It promises to be a special event for our family.
Thanksgiving, my birthday, Christmas, and the New Year holiday are approaching. I thought that I could put Jenniferparis’ suggestions to good use and buy at least a nice sweater and maybe some single-pleat pants. I made a couple of startling discoveries: 1) I really don’t like spending a whole lot of money on myself. I don’t have any problem with spending money on my wife or kids, but I couldn’t even bring myself to spend $40 (on sale) on a nice sweater or pants. And 2) I would much rather shop for someone else.
I found a couple of sweaters that I really like, and some pants that would go well with them. Perhaps I can drop a hint to my wife that these would make a nice birthday present.
I don’t know how well you can see the picture, but this is the outfit I bought last weekend when I went shopping with Romantic Rosie. It is a light-weight denim suit that I can wear for casual/casual dressy (church, meetings, etc.). The jacket has lattice work in the front lower panel.
Any ideas on what to wear with it? When I saw this in the store I pictured it with a simple white crew-neck T (I don’t like v-necks) and maybe a belt with a stylish buckle; when I found the picture on the Internet, it also shows a simple white T.
Benji is very happy to see Mari back!
I have 2 weeks to get to look like Cinderella after the fairy Godmother!!!
HELP ME Jen!
Fabulous idea to use the talents of people on the site to help others. Can see a whole host of other goals sprouting from this concept. Love it !!
As for style … well last night I took a shirt I had for a couple of years. Couldn’t be arsed to wash it so threw it out. Think i gonna do more of that lol. I’m not much of a hoarder but guess I do hang on to stuff I like. This goal is gonna help me slim down the old stuff and maybe buy some new (not that I need much of an excuse having walked home last night with jeans, sweaters etc).
