I sat in front of my computer, and felt this urge to do something different and basically just get out of the house and do something.
Time was around 7:15pm, and I decided to book my self an appointment for massage.
Oh, I was extremely stressed out with MCAT studying, WOrk, and everything else and not in my life.
I decided to Get a Thai massage instead of Swedish or Deep Tissue massage. Oh… I loved every bit of it.
It was good…
btw, the cutest thai girl said this to me in her thai accent- “Tell me if you cannot support me” (She meant let me know if the pressure was too much) I wanted to laugh, but was feeling too relaxed too laugh, and I said to myself- I would love to support you…:)
(She definitely instigated in me the feelings of love towards a woman;) )

I sort of cheated and went for the easy/low cost option: an on-site, fully clothed chair massage that lasted just 15 minutes on my lunch break. I thought 15 minutes sounded about the right time, actually – who has the patience to lie there for a hour?! Of course, when my 15 minutes were up I realised I could easily have stayed there pretty much all day… :)
I enjoyed it a lot, although it had the reverse effect of making me more aware for the rest of the day just how tight and knotted my shoulders and neck are. Good excuse for another go! :)

I want to treat myself to this to celebrate my 25th birthday this August. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do but was always afraid to splurge to pay for it.

It helps relax you, and detoxify.
I first thought of taking a massage at the end of the semester- after finals, bu then was just so stressed out and worked up right before finals that I thought of taking a break and getting a massage.
totally Worth it!!!
It was awesome and worth the money I spent.
So don’t wait for a special occasion to get a massage, if you are thinking about it, and can afford it- it means your body needs it now.
Go Get a massage…
Ask for a discount, They will give it to you if you go on a week day especially during the afternoons.

Had one in Bandung. Not as good as I hoped it would be, but pretty alright I guess. I think the Malaysian spas are better though. Would still want to go for a round of Swedish massage soon.

Yes, it is time for this one. I had originally said I would do this after finals, but I want one on Sunday, and my last finals are on Monday. Oh well. I am sore from gardening all day yesterday, stressed from this semester, and so ready for a massage! I’ve had one before, I think it was last November. It’s time for another.

Some of my girlfriends and I got together this spring and decided that we had been working hard and should take some time to relax and enjoy ourselves. We took a day and booked appointments at the spa for an entire day.
It was WONDERFUL!
We spent the entire day just hanging out. Hershey allows you to utilize all of their services the entire day that you have the appointment, so we got up early and spent some time working out, swimming, in the saunas, and just generally relaxing.
Their “quiet rooms” allowed us to spend some of our most relaxing time while we were there. We just curled up in big, comfy leather chairs and snacked on muffins and Hershey’s kisses and sipped lime water and hot cocoa.
We did “rain showers,” which were little shower areas with around 20 different shower heads that massaged your back and shoulders. We also got 50 minute “aromatherapy” massages with lavendar oils and scents.
The massage was a great time to just lay back and let anything stressful melt away. As the massage pulled the stress off of my body, it also lifted it off my mind. The feeling was so totally unique.
The whole day was sooo much fun! It was defitinely what we needed for this point in our senior year.
I’m not going to lie, part of the amazing time that we spent had to do with the friends that I was with. My friends and I spent so much time just talking and laughing and being with each other, and it was so cool to spend this experience with them.
Also, we ended up randomly at a hibachi grill afterwards. We went for dinner and picked what we thought was a Chinese buffett and went inside only to discover the grill. Also, a fun experience that inspired me to try sushi!

Once the semester is over, in less than three weeks, I will plan a spa day! Most likely in Eureka Springs, my favorite little victorian town close to home. Including a massage, maybe I’ll also try a couple of my other goals like a manicure or facial. It will be my reward for completing the semester!
