plan a budget and stick to it

because of back to school but we haven’t spent money we don’t have :0)

We had a bit of a blow out while my nieces visited but we did not spend any money we didn’t have. Used a little of what we had saved but it wasn’t too bad. :0)

but I have managed to stay within my budget even if it meant cutting back in some areas so I could spend more in others

and stuck to it for 3 days. Yay, I hope I can keep it going!

now I just have to make sure I update everyday so it doesn’t get too much.

I have tracked our spending for the month and have done my best to stick to the budget. I deliberately highlighted areas where we overspent, there were 16 areas. I failed to put money aside for 5 areas due to the overspending in other areas. I now know what areas to work on and hopefully there will not be any forgotten expenses next month! I can at least check my progress from now on! (what I managed to save will cover the areas I didn’t allocate to but I want to get to the point where everything is allocated and we have still saved money!))

that just came up beside my last entry was a reminder that I need to focus on the positive and always assume and live in abundance!! Therefore I refocus and realise that what I have left will be more than enough to get me through to the next payday!

and I’m still on budget, mind you the grocery money is starting to get a little short now!
