Finished the last one tonight, Love of the Last Tycoon (actually a draft of a novel that was forthcoming at the time of Fitzgerald’s death).

Okay, I know that Love and the Last Tycoon is just basically an unfinished draft, and I know that it was written at a different point in his life than the other books, but…wow. I’m a little startled to admit that I’m disappointed by it.

The Beautiful and the Damned, completed just a few minutes ago. Never have I had such a love-hate relationship as I had with characters like the ones in this book.
