Well, I am back to drinking Green tea again, I had my box of loose leaf tea tucked away somewhere in work cupboard, so it’s out from under the dust (well it wasn’t that bad but there was dust on the box!) -
Green tea, apart from having loads of anti oxidants is real tasty! and I have been told that it has heaps of health benefits, one of which is helping the body in loosing unwanted stored body fat – It does contain small amounts of caffeine, but it is much better than drinking bucket loads of coffee a day, :)

I usually have way too much coffee sometimes – I think that If can get to the stage where I will not have any coffee past 3 pm on a daily basis I’ll extremely happy!

jisaacs has made amazing progress and is feeling good about herself
the first day i nobly forewent the second pot, i succumbed to an iced coffee from the bakery. it was decaf, but that didn’t matter. obviously deep-seated feelings of deprivation were at work.
coffee is the least of my worries, really.

i’ve been noticing this week that coffee makes me jumpy. i know, i know, everybody knows that. but i was able to observe its effect. definitely not giving up the blissful wake-up cup, but no more full french presses for me. and let’s try not making the second pot. what about some refreshing watermelon instead? or in the winter, grapefruit juice or tea?

Only have coffee when I really want it and not because it is a habit or because I am bored at work.

About 7 cups today… I was tired today and had a lot to do. Wide awake at midnight now, drinking beer to try and wind down.
Will drink one cup of water for every coffee tomorrow. Iced water is so refreshing.

I stopped drinking coffee in the evenings some years back but I was still drinking 4 or 5 cups a day at work and 1 in the morning.
Well I cut down at work this week so far. My initial goal is 2 cups a day at work and drink a couple of cups of water instead (another goal).
Anyone given up caffeine completely and did it make any difference?

WhiskyGirl is busy busy & trying to remember goal no.1 Stop Procrastinating!
Realised I’m drink 4 cups a day. And by cup, I mean big mug. Time to cut back. I’m trying to subsitute tea. I have no intention of stopping altogether – just becoming a little less java-dependent.

I work outside all day. This winter I’ve managed to convince myself I need coffee every day. Since I have no coffee pot outside it’s off to the nearest cafe for a gourmet coffee – at the very least twice a day.
2 medium mocha’s (my drug of choice) usually averages out close to $8.00. Multiply this times 5 and well… I spend at least $40 on coffee a WEEK! I’m going to stop and put an extra $40 into my savings each week for the next month or so to see how things work out. And for now I’ll just have to stick to my cup of coffee first thing in the morning from my own coffee pot.
