go on a family vacation

thinking about disney at christmas, but it seems SO overwhelming to plan when I look at their page, I think a travel agent is in order!

I haven’t been on a real vacation since my honeymoon. We are long overdue for one. I suppose I need to add a “make more money” entry.

Okay, so this might be a little harder to accomplish than I thought. I WAS doing good at saving up money for a little trip, and then reality hit and we almost got our electricity turned off, so I HAD to pay that…some bills you can’t just ignore, I guess. They’re all PICKY about keeping the lights on if you don’t pay them. ;-)

Anyway, I’ve still got a little bit of the vacation savings left, but I can see it getting eaten up pretty quickly unless I make some more cash! I’m a realtor, but I haven’t been working for the past 6 months or so due to taking off time to have a new baby and get to know her, and I’m not planning on going back for a little while yet, either, so needless to say, money is VERY tight… Luckily my husband has a great job, but we still need two incomes to really have any “fun” money, you know?

Okay self…think! Think! How can I earn some vacation money but not go back to work yet??? (I’ll keep myself posted…)

I have come to realize this me and my family barely had the time to really go out on a real vacation as a complete family in certain provinces in the Philippines we had our moments and they were very memorable. I just hope that in the future before they get really old I would be able to take them out of the country and just have a quality family time even for a week. That would be really awesome… still thinking about the place but I am pretty sure as long as we are all together it would totally be a blast.

I have a lot of places that I want to go with my family, but I know we will be lucky if we can even afford to go to one place, so my goal this year will just be a pretty generic “family vacation”, rather than a specific place.

However, in order for this goal to be accomplished, it has to be somewhere either out of state, or out of the country.

A little trip somewhere in California would count just for fun, but not for the family trip. For this one to be accomplished, it will have to be one where I’m willing to take the change jar down to the grocery store and give up a hefty fee just so I don’t have to count and roll all those coins.
