have a female best friend

I guess I kind of have a female best friend, but it’s more of an old best friend… not like we had a fight or anything, just she moved across the country and our interests drifted apart. What I mean is I want a close female friend, a very classic slumber party and secrets kind of friend, though that sounds lame. Why are women so hard to get close to? I just dont think it’s healthy to rely on my boyfriend so much, I need more variety in my confidantes.

My best friend is a guy, and I love him a great deal, but it’s really not the same thing as having a female best friend. I lost my female best friend almost 2 years ago and I still feel sad when I think of her, although she really is one stupid selfish cow. I think I need to have a new female best friend.

I know this sounds super cheesy, but I’ve recently been thinking more and more about how I don’t actually have many friends. Yes I do have like 2 or 3 friends, but none are very close friends, and none of which I feel I can share anything and everything with.

So as I was realizing all this, I came to think that I’d really love to have a best friend, a female friend that I can share stuff with without feeling as though I’ll be laughed at or whatever. Someone I can spend time with, without actually having to do or go anywhere. Basically a traditional type of best friend. Someone that shares similar interests as I do.
