How I did it: My friend Holly had never been snowboarding and she talked me into it. My husband, his best friend, my friend Holly and her bf all went to Tahoe. We took a lesson together and then actually snowboarded! Read how I did it…

How I did it: I took lessons. I worked at Camelback ski resort, and a friend of mine taught me how to snowboard. it really would take about three days just to get a good hang of it and be able to ski down the mountain w/ minimal falling. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Snowboarding for the first time hurts!!! Its a great experience to ride the earth like that but wow when I fell-- I fell hard. So from when I started my 43things.com account, it took me 4 days to go snowboarding and I went with 7 other people which 5 of them was their first time as well. It was cool falling down with all my friends. hahahaha. Now I will add skiing to my 43things.com to do list, it looks easier. Read how I did it…
How I did it: A friend of mine took me snowboarding a few years ago at a huge hill near his house. I borrowed his sister's snowboard and went for it. I made it down almost the entire hill without falling down once. Trust me, that was beginners luck - each time after that I fell nearly 20 times and ended up with major bruises on my tailbone. I love it well, honestly I’ve already gone once before when I was a kid but I really really want to go again…
I have always thought that snowboarding is cool, I have always wanted to go, but I’ve never had a chance to go so I really want to go. It seems so fun.

Love it! Your first time going will be miserable, you will fall endlessly, and probably not want to continue. Get a teacher stick with it for a few times and then stuff just starts clicking. You start connecting turns, going where you want to, maybe go a little faster. Then once you get comfortable you can start putting a little swagger into it and it becomes more expressive as oppose to getting from point a to point b. Then find some powder and enjoy

On Hold Until Snows Thicker in Cali..
I used to go snow skiing every year from age 5 to 19. I also used to surf and skateboard, so snowboarding seems like it would be easy for me.
i am scared of falling but i went ahead and snowboarded! it was a fun experience feeling the rush. i ate snow (& mud) many times (as we went in April) but had a lot of fun. _
