live like i was dying

This is such an inspiring goal…I need to do it. I’m fed up of worrying about this, that and the other. I need to live and I need to teach my two gorgeous girls to live. I need to experience life, and not just get thru it.

i need to stop taking my life for granted

Hi Everybody. A few weeks ago my company relocated and I was laid off. I was a special events planner/salesperson making a good salary plus commissions which enabled me to live comfortably. If I want to stay in that field, I’d have to commute an hour and a half one way to get to the Atlanta area to pursue the same avenue. Before that my ex-husband and I ran a small restaurant and I raised 5 kids for 14 years. I have no college education, I married a widower very young and had an instant business and family. I find now that I am a “Jack of all trades, yet not degreed in any” LOL!. My marketable skills working with people, sales, organization, multi-tasking, office skills among others.

I am hoping someone around my age who had to start over in life might have some suggestions/experiences to share with me. At the moment any job will do to fill the void and pay the bills….but I am looking for my path. I love my life and want to love my (future) job just as much.

I seem to forget this and live like I have a million days to do things that I want to, so I sit and moan instead.

Some people are not as fortunate as you.
Some people can’t let the days go by without worry.
Its a shame the amount of time wasted everyday.
Some people sit & wait,
some people sob & hope,
make things happen.

I would write out a will, take my best friends to Europe. Fly to Hollywood. Do 5 things my parents would never let me do. put a rubberband around the sink-sprayer. messy my room. Get my hair and makeup and nails done everyday. rent out a presidential suite right next to the biggest mall ever. fill balloons up with paint and throw darts at them. throw an egg at someone. pierce my bellybutton. do cartwheels down the harvard hallways. smack hannah, katelyn, kelly. go to st.louis and smack tess. go to michigan and smack dana. smack addy (my best friend). tell my teacher (mrs. parks) that i hate her. throw something substantially heavy down the steps or out the balcany off of my grandparent’s grocery store. break my window and climb to the ground with the fire safety ladder i have. climb a huge tree. get a massage. live in a hotel. have a stuffed animal fight.
That’s al I can think of for now…I’m sure theres more.

Here’s to crazy oppurtunities!!! I haven’t updated this for ages but most recent one invovled me ending up in Spain last weekend to view an apartment that I will be letting for someone!!! How crazy is that!!! Less than a weeks notice and I was off!!! I’ll never consider this goal achieved becasue living like this is far to much fun!!! Wooo Hooooo
