Due to various job situations over the last years (one of them was buying a house week before loosing my job!), our financial situation isn’t great, but my new job is helping. I just hope it will last so it keeps getting better!
I feel much better. I’m kind of back on top of all of my finances. It just requred a little tweeking of my lifestyle. This might not be forever, but it’s not as high priority at the moment. woot!
Wow.. bought my house a year ago… was thinking 2 bedroom .. then got a 3 bedroom.. nicer… and a year later.. I have 2 tenants in the rooms .. great tenants too .. all the prayers did help ..and so 2 tenants helping paying of my mortgage.. finance is better now too… used to be 70% income to the house.. now I have some spare cash can eat out and even go for a holiday and getting new TV or even a projector… oh yeah and can save up some $$ to pay back some $$ from parents hehe
I’ve now got my current account another month up to date. I am also doing a good job of keeping a record of all the money I spend from my accounts and cash as well.
I’ve had a look at my account details in MS Money and they are all at least 6 months behind. However I am now up to date with my savings account which was a month behind.
We are kind of budgeting now, we have a plan and things are getting paid off and cleared. Its nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Saying that, we are about to add a 180k mortgage to our list of debts. But a mortgage is a ‘good debt’.
OK, so I’m violating the plan. But I’ve started by talking to a financial person who’s helping my friend get a house. We’ll see what happens.
