I think it was okay I came.

We had some fun, but I am sure he didn’t like it when I missed the last train home (this was not on purpose) and had to spend the night on his couch.

Do not expect bringing a fancy bottle of wine make the other person suggest to spend a pizza or even a meal. Some people just place the wine on the cupboard for a rainy day. 4 years ago

Somehow our college was randomly plagued by mumps. Go figure… Anyway, I showed up at my friend Kris’s apartment to bring her coffee and some books since she had to be isolated for 9 crappy days. It was totally worth it. I realized how good it is to have visitors too when I got mumps two weeks later and had visitors. Never underestimate the power of being there. Oh, and never underestimate the inefficacy of the mumps vaccine… 5 years ago

we were having a fight and hadn’t spoken for days. i was having a really good day and was just back from a trip and knew it might ruin the day but i did it anyway. i just knocked on the door and said hey. i stayed for a few hours and it was fine. fun even 5 years ago

My friend was having an all over crappy day, and was at her pool. Her mom wasn’t allowing me to come over, and I was bored, so I just had my mom drop me off at her pool.

Her face was so stunned when I came, it was awesome and we had SO much fun. :) 6 years ago

My friends and I have a weekly dinner rotation, and a couple friends had said, off the cuff, that they would host dinner the following week, but they never sent out an official email invitation, as is the custom. DH and I went over to their place at the usual night and time.

When we showed up, one of the guys (usually a real goofball) said “Oh, thanks for dropping by, it’s good to see you.” I thought he was joking, and responded with something like, “Yeah, I hope you don’t mind if we just come on in and eat some of your dinner.” They said, “Oh that’s fine, I think we can whip something up.”

This went on for awhile with them not realizing I was joking, and me not realizing they weren’t joking, until I asked, “So, when is [mutual friend] going to show up?” That’s when I realized that she hadn’t been invited over, and that DH and I had not in fact been invited over, either.

Fortunately, these guys were good friends who were genuinely happy to see us, even if we hadn’t been invited. So when I explained the situation, we all just had a good laugh and ate dinner. 6 years ago

Some of my friends are quite used to me comin over randomly..
But ofcourse sometimes i feel rude and txt em like minutes before
It’ll be good to do this to a friend.. who aint used to idea of yuu randomly coming over.. 6 years ago
