Go white water rafting down the Merced river

I’m just moving this to my long term goals list

Our trip to Peru will stretch our funds, so unless we get an unexpected windfall I won’t be able to do this until 2008 at the earliest.

I have been rafting before, but this river looks absolutely wild to me when I drive by it on the way into Yosemite valley. I know the conditions change every year, so I want to wait for a good year to do it.
