I'm consolidating- being true to my word fits here too... 4 years ago

Verbal and written promises broken can really screw up a friendship. I’m trying to repair such a breach now.

I'm a lazy shit... 4 years ago

No really! I am! This is me being honest. Sometimes I’m tired, but 9 times outta 10 I’m just plain LAZY!

If I want to get things done I need to be honest with myself about my goals, get my butt off the couch and do them.

Hopefully just posting this will be a step in fixing the problem.

I'm going to add- "Learn how to say no" because I think it ties in here: 4 years ago

I seem to be under the delusion that I have very few talents, so I tend to agree or even volunteer to do things I’m not capable of in order to garner praise or attention. And because I’m afraid people won’t ask me along again if I refuse the first time.

Recently I agreed to create a logo for a friend’s website, when in fact I have little or no grasp of the necessary software and don’t have daily access to my computer (which has all the programs that I need on it). Now she’s annoyed and all I had to say was, “Sorry, I can’t do this.”

The truth is I can do so many things- I write, I can draw (would like to learn to use Illustrator so I can do stuff online), I can knit and love to take pics with a digicam, I like to hike/bike/ride and swim. I have done a tri, I’m training for a century ride, I like to rock climb.

Instead of blowing up my accomplishments I need to work on them- for me not others. Once I impress myself I can show others what I can do.

Sometimes I exagerate what I can do/have done... 4 years ago

but in the end I’ve had an interesting enough life that I shouldn’t have to do that! Ever!

Sometimes it’s okay to not know everything and to give someone else the last word.
