Me! Not what I’d have ever imagined doing. But it’s because the splash from the white paint can that spilled on the side of the house looked like the last part of a mural, I thought I’d paint a mural there.
But when I was painting a black area to be the background of the waterfall, the paint didn’t go into the dents of the siding. So before beginning to paint the lines, my kids came out, looked at the area and said it was wonderful, like a black log cabin…Do the whole house! they said. So I did. We now live in a black log cabin-likle country home.
It’s actually an offwhite siding that’s painted black. The lines of light siding showing through look like the moarter between the logs.
I used a roller to put it all on!
I still have a section of the house that hasn’t been painted. it’s up pretty high on the side we never look at. Only it faces the road beyond the valley and across the marsh. I guess i’ll have to do it next year when it gets warm again.
