Worth doing!
I had an image in a show at the museum and received a lot of great comments. It was a lot of fun to sit back and listen as people discussed my work without know I was there.

After sharing some of my photos that I matted & framed (following my class) I’ve been asked to bring 5-10 to a Christmas art show / sale. The only problem is it’s in less than a month and I don’t think I have the time.
First of all, I think I’d have a terrible time choosing things I think are really good. I need to have a serious talk with my internal editor and tell her to stop being such a bitch. It isn’t all garbage.
I don’t know if I can do that and wrangle all the equipment required and pull it off on top of everything else.
It was SO nice getting the positive feedback & request though.
this is inspiring.
now I have to get the gift picture to his house and see how he likes it.
OK, f**k walgreens, they printed my (square) photo and cropped it into a rectangle. Helllllooooo?? And did the woman behind the counter offer to do it again the way I wanted? No, she just offered a long explanation of how everything is totally automated and it wasn’t her fault.
So I uploaded some of my digital pics to the nice, non-chain photo printing place where an actual human being looks at your photos before printing them. This makes me feel like a serious photographer, even if I’m not one :-) Granted, my prints will be ready in two days instead of an hour, and it costs a little more, but I think it’s worth it.
...one of my photos to a friend as a gift. I think he’ll like it. This doesn’t mean it’ll be in a public place, but it’s a step in the right direction. Props to my boyfriend for photoshopping it!

That’s the plan, anyhow. Once I figure out how to present them nicely, there’s already a place in place. (mild shudder)
I’ve decided to go home sort through my photos and find three that I really like. I am then going to print them and than go to three different places (school, library and ?). I will display one in each location.
I love photography always have but, as the new age of the internet sky rockets more and more and digital imaging is increasing I love photography even more. I have a Kodak DX6490 that I use for my photography…it has 10X Optical zoom…Its not the best of the best but, for me its just right everything I wanted in a camera!
Worth doing!
I’ve now got it announced on my site. In just a few weeks, I will have accomplished the first step of this goal.

I am proud to say that my photos will be on display at a local coffeehouse starting in mid-May (or, if things go better, mid-April)!
Hooray! Hooray!
