Write them down  — 6 months ago

    Worth doing!

This was an interesting exercise, but I wish I’d written my tags down as I used them. There isn’t any way to sort your list by tags, or click on the tag and see the goals you’ve associated with it, so I have tags that are similar and should have been grouped together. Maybe I’ll go through again later and fix that. . .

OK, all my current things are tagged  — 11 months ago

Now I just need to do the completed things.

I agree with Plizzyp and others that tagging helps clarify each goal’s core, as well as showing the pattern of what is (and has been) important to me.

By tagging it makes you focus on the motivation behind your goals.

Not sure if I tagged 100% of my goals but it is done to an acceptable level. It is nice how it lets me see what is important to me or at least what I spend my time on.

Given my other goal of avoiding online time wasters, I’m not going to bother to create obscure categories for goals that don’t fit into a larger group. I’ll count this goal when the bulk of my goals are tagged into logical categories.

    Tagged!  — 1 year ago

    Worth doing!

Tagging is something that makes it easier to organize and find things and I try to do it as much as I can. I remember back in the old days of 43 Things when there weren’t many people and many tags. I was going through and tagging things and then it stopped working. I sent an email in and received one back from Erik saying that he just changed something, which broke tagging for a while. Then he fixed it and I could tag again. That was neat.
I wanted to make sure that I had all of my things tagged, which is why I added this goal and finally I went through all of my Things and made sure that I had added my own tags to all of them. Now I will make sure that if I add a goal I will make sure that I’ve tagged it.

I like how it is possible to search something based on tags, and I think everybody should tag their things as well.

It took a little while to tag EVERYTHING, but now all my goals have at least one tag. It’s really helpful to see what’s important to me, as well as how exactly I have improved/will improve myself in various parts of my life.

It’s good. I’d recommend it. Best to start early (if you have only a few or at least a manageable amount of goals), and just tag each new goal as you add it to your list.
