Yesterday – A and I threw about 3 bags worth of stuff (mostly from his room/the kitchen, but still!)
Today – I’ve been going through my winter clothes and have already filled nearly a bag.
This task is still alive and kicking!!

So far 3 items listed on eBay. And 1 sold today – woohoo. Baby steps, but at least its a step!
Top of chest of drawers is now done:
I bought the bookends from Officeworks. Was sceptical they’d withstand the weight of my textbooks but they did!
Next challenge was the table next to the bed. Sadly I forgot to take a piccie of it before I attacked it, so you’ll just have to believe me when I say it was covered in crap. You couldn’t see the top of it, let alone appreciate the fact it’s made out of a recycled surfboard.
So that’s zones 2 and 3 done. Now I’m down to the hard stuff. Here’s what remains behind my door:
Still pretty shocking, but better than what was there back in May:
I’m happy to say the space between the wardrobe and my desk is now complete. Doesn’t it look a lot better!
Next challenge: the top of my chest of drawers. Not exactly overloaded, just in disarray (and in need of a good dusting!)
So this isn’t technically either inside my wardrobe, or behind my door, but it’s where I’m focusing on tidying up right now.
Clutter, clutter clutter.
Some of these things have been sitting here in this particular spot FOR 3 YEARS. Unmoved.
Sigh.
I’m down to a pile of things that are either for sale on ebay or giving away. These are the hard bits, bit I’m going to try and do one per day. It’s a shame to stall this task so close to completion!
How did we manage to amass such a collection of laptop bags. 2 more out yesterday!
Although actually they were from A’s room, so doesn’t help me much on my goal, does it? :)
So yesterday I dropped off 2 laptop bags in the bin. Well actually only one made it in. As I was standing on the side of the road trying to shove the second one in through the small chute, a lady walking past me said she would have it if I didn’t want it. So I handed it over and she walked away with it. A little bizarre, but hey all I wanted is for someone to find it useful, that’s why I was giving it away in the first place.
And today another bag of clothes went out. Have to say I think I am finally nearly done with this one. Behind the door is still a bit of junk, but none of it clothes!!
Another bag dropped off yesterday, just when I thought I’d done my last. Ended up finding a few bits of clothes and some linen I knew I wouldn’t use again when clearing out my wardrobe (which I’m still halfway through).
Last bag of clothes put out today. Still remaining is some books, CDs and misc other crud. This pile is getting smaller though!!!
