window faces east, so I see the sun rise every morning. I love waking up before the sun rises and just lay in bed and watch it rise. It’s a beautiful thing. You should try it sometime.

I took this photo several months ago now.

...than I thought. I guess what I really want to do is see more on purpose!
On new years day I got up early to see the sunrise with 2 of my friends. We drove to Southead, so we could see the sunrising over the ocean and also see sydney harbour. Afterwards we had breakfast at Bondi.
I got so many nice photos, I made a slideshow of some of them which can be viewed here:

I really think I should do this more often, it was a great way to start the new year.
I saw one Friday on my way to Boston – we left the house at about 5:30 am and were on the thruway when the sun came up. Though it wasn’t what I thought of as an “ideal” sunrise (sitting in a car, watching it over a thruway) it was beautiful and definitely worth waking up before the break of dawn.
to see sunrises… and sunsets always happen when I’m not paying attention. One minute its light… the next minute its dark. Before summer ends I’m going to get up early, find a hill and watch the sun come up….
As I glanced to my right on my bus ride home the other night – this is what I saw. I had to jump off the bus at the next stop and run back and capture the moment.
My battery ran out after 3 shots so I was lucky.
Beautiful balmy evening in Richmond.

I drove to DC. I left at midnight Friday. I arrived in DC at 7 am on Saturday. I was able to see the sun rise on my little road trip. Yippee!! That’s 2 in this book.
