Worth doing!

Someone lost their drivers licence by our house. My house mate and I posted it back to them with a little present and no hint that it was us that sent it on.

it's easy!  — 2 months ago

While driving for example, just let someone who’s blinking have plenty of space to get over.

Or when they’re entering a busy street, stop and let them in. Usually you’ll get a happy and thankful wave and raised that person’s outlook on the day a good deal!

One of my friends online just lost her brother to suicide. As soon as I found out, I anonymously made her a little reminder of how amazing she was, and a couple weeks later, she found it, and said it made her day. :) It felt good :)

Paid Someone's Toll  — 5 months ago

I used to work in New Jersey and I live in Pennsylvania so I used to cross the Delaware River bridges almost every day. When I got to a toll booth I would not only pay my toll but also the person who was behind me. I never knew who they were and never bothered to look if they passed me on the bridge. I just told the teller that I was also paying for the car behind me and drove off. It was kind of my way of saying, “There are nice, considerate people out there still”. I kind of thought of it as a small gesture that could cheer someone up. Hope it worked.

I think that a lot of times when i do something nice i want to be acknowledged for it. I think that this gets me into the habit of not doing something nice a lot of time when i know i will not get acknowledged for it. I want to be able to do something nice weather the person is thankful or not, or even if they don’t even know it was me. I will continue to work on this one.

So, it's not really anonymous....  — 6 months ago

Worth doing!

On my way back from my hour commute to school last week, I stopped at this highway over pass gas station like I do everyday, and I got out of my car in front of the building and there was a girls who had the hood of her car up. I walked into the gas station, and when I came back out, she was still fiddling under her hood. So I asked her is she was ok/did she need any help. She couldn’t get her radiator cap off and I we pulled, turned, twisted and pryed and it still didn’t come off. We tried a few other things and it still didn’t do anything.

It’s not the most awesome story, but her, I tried.

be always at the ready to do something for someone… if you think about it a lot you will be able to recognize when there is something you can do. It really hard to do it anonymously so concentrate on that!

do you think this would qualify as something nice anomyously? I really want to sandblast some rocks and leave them at the hot springs, and if people take them, good, if not good too. I would like to place something (cool and tasteful, can’t offend those taste police ! ) on the bike path. something really heavy, they’d have to really want it.
