remember my friends birthdays

i consider myself to be top notch in this category. i’m not even borderline nerd here…i’m full-fledged nerd. i have an actual birthday book so i can keep track of my friends and family. i take my little book and go to the store and buy cards for the entire month’s birthdays and then fill them out and address them so they’re ready to mail a week or so early. i try to send cards sometimes to people that aren’t even super good friends but people that i want to feel a little special, its unexpected and sweet when i have something like that happen to me so why not pass that same feeling on.

please don’t think i’m this regimented or dedicated in all areas of my life--I WISH!—i’m a complete spaz and mess in everything but for some reason i enjoy this and follow through. its worth making the effort, i promise.

I think it’s so sweet when people remember my birthday. I’d like to be a good friend who does the same.

I often post parcels late (or sometimes not at all… I still have a Christmas one sitting here).

I’m going to make an effort to check facebook once a day and write birthday messages on the walls of my friends (especially when it’s their birthday).

While most of them don’t get offended if I forget, I would still like to be thoughtful and wish them a happy birthday, perhaps even send a snail mail card.
