Cleansweep 2 years ago

I decided to start with a bottom-up approach. While I’m not trying to do the Cleansweep program literally, I have decided to embrace the concept. It promises:

You will gain perspective on who you are, where you are and where you are going. When incompletions are handled, one can see what is and has been around them, including one’s self. You will see situations as they really are, you’ll discern what is going on with you and around you and you’ll react less and choose more in your daily life. This higher perspective is essential in the process of designing one’s life …

It reminds me a lot of the basic premises of “Getting Things Done”. It’s difficult to achieve lofty goals when you can’t manage your daily life. And I suppose it’s similar to Maslow’s hierarchy, also, in that it starts with building a basic foundation and builds on that. So, right now, I will feel successful if I can clean up my loose ends. If I can do that, I may have a whole new vision for my life. I might even achieve self-actualization.

Success defined 2 years ago

Recently dwlt asked us for our definitions of success and I realized that I couldn’t write one for myself. I can’t separate my own sense of worth, self-acceptance, from my feeling of success or failure. So, I need to actually figure out what success means to me. This seems a good time as I actually feel successful this very moment.
